Hi, my name is Thomas Seaman and together, we can transform your home!
Early Years
I live in Southminster on the Dengie Hundred peninsula, and that’s where my business is based, too. From there, I work with homeowners and property developers from Brentwood to Colchester and Braintree to Rayleigh in Essex.
You might like to know how I got into carpentry and construction. After leaving St Peters High School in Burnham on Crouch, I served an apprenticeship with a local replacement windows and doors company. From there, I moved up the ladder to work for Oben Property Services. Although they are based on the Dengie Hundred, most of the work I was doing was for residential refurbishment – kitchen and bathroom installation – along with commercial fit-outs in London.
Learning My Trade
During my ten years with Oben Property Services, I obtained an NVQ2 in Carpentry and Joinery. I also learned how to be a site foreman, supervising a team of trades people and liaising with clients. But the stresses of working in London eventually took their toll and was time for a change.
After London came nine years working for Wood ways Homes in Cold Norton as a site foreman. Responsibilities included project management and client liaison for residential extensions and refurbishment. But then the company owner retired. It was time for me to fly solo!
A Big Decision
Setting up my own business in 2017 was a big decision, one that I don’t regret in the slightest. Most people know me as Tom Seaman, but its time to be known as a company rather than a one-man-band. It’s a relatively young company, but you can see that I bring many years of practical and management experience with me. I also bring a great team.

Over the years, I have built a network of highly-skilled, trusted trades people who help me to deliver exactly what you want for your home. We keep a keen eye on the quality of workmanship, and I am solely responsible for the company’s reputation – one we are proud and protective of. Away from work, I’m a family man, an ex-rugby player (I’m still involved with Burnham Rugby Club through my son) and petrol-head. I do love a fine car!
